PetSmart was one of those dream projects which we got to have a lot of fun with. After winning the pitch we started on the huge task of adapting a site with thousands of SKUs, content buckets, and assets to a new responsive visual identity.
Stating that the homepage was a high level click-through page we wanted to use the space as an opportunity to surprise and delight the user. So we came up with several short looping videos that shine a light on the happiness of being a pet parent and used this as a welcome in the hero area.
On the product detail page we blew up product imagery so that the user can clearly see the product and labels. We kept that imagery sticky on the left as the user scrolls through the purchasing and product information.
